Campfire Crunch
This Campfire Crunch (granola) recipe is a perfect blend of flavors and crunch. Perfect for quick camping snack!
Dry Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup cashews, chopped
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup coconut
1 T flax see
1/2 cup craisins
Wet Ingredients:
1/2 cup coconut oil
1/2 cup honey
1/2 t vanilla
1/2 t almond extract
Mix together all dry ingredients: oats, almonds, cashews, wheat germ, sunflower seeds, coconut, and flax seed. In a small sauce pan, add all wet ingredients: coconut oil, honey, vanilla and almond extract. Warm over low heat until coconut oil is melted. Pour wet ingredients over dry ingredients until mixed together. Place combined mixture on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 325 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven.
Add craisens to mixture and return to over for an additional 10 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and store in airtight container.
